INGREDIENTS

1 bell pepper

1 small onion

1/2 pound lean ground beef or turkey

1 tablespoon cumin

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 15-ounce can tomato sauce

4 hot dogs

4 hot dog buns

4 tablespoons yellow mustard

INSTRUCTIONS

Cut the bell pepper and onion into small pieces. Set aside about 4 tablespoons of the onion for topping.

In a medium pot, combine the pepper, onion, and ground beef or turkey. Set heat to medium and cook until the meat is cooked, or no longer pink. Drain the fat.

Add the cumin, chili powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and tomato sauce.

Bring to a simmer and cook for about 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, heat the hot dogs in a skillet with 3 cups of water over medium heat.

To assemble the hot dogs, place a hot dog in a bun, followed by about 1/2 cup of the chili sauce, a sprinkling of onion, and a drizzle of mustard over the top. Serve immediately.
